I feel helpless For the silence I cannot break, For the feelings I cannot express, For the mind I cannot ease, For the words I cannot trust, For the time I cannot get back, For the fear within myself. It as a brand of torture to not be able to speak the emotions one feels. And to feel as though that begins to hurt another in it's own turn. Silence is not always golden. For at times it becomes a two-edged sword, Severing ties that bind. A flame that burns at ones' heart And fouls ones' mood. And all I can think to say is I'm sorry. But the words stay with the rest. Inside.
